Santa Teresa Blue Camp, the training program for operators at sea and on land of the Capo Testa Punta Falcone Marine Protected Area, has been successfully accomplished by 30 Tourist operators. The course, financed by the Italian Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security, which the MEDSEA foundation coordinated these months, in collaboration with the municipality of Santa Teresa Gallura, started on January 30 and ended on March, 15th 2023.
100 hours of training for a program that touched the three pillars of sustainability by bringing concrete and tangible examples, among the environmental, social and economical sustainability. The course started last January 30 in hybrid mode, online and live, with more than thirty operators including guides, diving centres, b&bs, hotels and service providers. The ultimate goal of the Santa Teresa Blue Camp was to improve knowledge of the Marine Protected Area and its environmental and natural features, to learn some storytelling and communication techniques suitable for highlighting the distinctive aspects of the territory, as well as educate guests on sustainable tourism. Finally, an in-depth look at digital tools, including social media, paid ads, sales funnels and marketing plans.
In the last few days we have concluded the live workshops in the council chamber of the Municipality of Santa Teresa Gallura with Alessandro Pani and Filippo Salaris of Artisti Fuori Posto, the one on hospitality and sustainability with Concetta D'Emma of Unconventional Hospitality, finally Franco Oggiano of Mutinies conducted the final workshop on the topic of the (economically) sustainable marketing plan.
About thirty operators have successfully obtained the MEDSEA "Blue Camp '' certificate for the start of a tourist season with greater awareness, tools and knowledge, to protect the environment, the sea and the marine environment, primary and irreplaceable natural resource.
Among the teachers of this edition in northern Sardinia: Maria Pala, Vania Statzu, Giovanna Fundoni, Andrea Alvito, Alessandro Abis, Roberto Caddeo, Ornella D'Alessio, Giulia Eremita, Carlo Gaspa, Fabiola Giffoni, Luca Bove, Elisa also participated Fattore, Alessio Neri, Marco Pinna, Elena Farinelli.
