It is called Villasimius Blue Camp and it is the first course of this kind that brings together tour operators on land and at sea in Villasimius to improve knowledge of the territory and its environmental peculiarities, and adequately describe them as a marketing, promotion and collaboration tool.
80 hours, organized in three modules, with the scientific coordination of the MEDSEA Foundation for the Marine Protected Area of Capo Carbonara, promoter of the course, together with the Municipality of Villasimius and the Italian Ministry of ecological transition. The students, about fifty, including companies at sea, diving and nautical services, and on land such as environmental tourist guides, rental services, bars, restaurants, B&Bs and hotels, are following the online lessons since March 14.
The course is organized in three macro areas : the module on storytelling and on the territory aims to enrich the knowledge of the naturalistic and historical peculiarities of Villasimius and one's own storytelling and communication skills; the one on relationship and collaboration helps to create a team spirit and to strengthen relationships between operators; lastly, the one on tools and innovations which provides useful digital marketing and communication tools to promote the own activity and services in the best possible way and effectively.
At the end of each module, the participants carry out a workshop to put the acquired notions into practice and live. On the 1st and 2nd of April, the group of operators of the VBC - Villasimius Blue Camp was accompanied to the discovery of the Capo Carbonara peninsula and the Archaeological Museum of Villasimius MAVI together with the travel guides Maria Pala, Roberto Caddeo and the director of the MAVI, Elisabetta Gaudina, and practiced creative writing and storytelling techniques in Casa Todde Museo Del Mare Giorgio Capai with Ornella D'Alessio, journalist and storytelling expert.
The next 21 and 23 April the group will work on the dynamic and adaptive management of marine protected areas with the drafting of the Regulations that integrate the Implementation and Organization Regulations of the Marine Protected Area together with Daniela Addis from the Addis "Ambiente & Mare" law firm. On 24 April morning, expressiveness and body readiness training, organized by the theater company Artisti Fuori Posto, to manage stress, critical issues and to exercise empathy and listening, two very important factors for those involved in hospitality.
Final workshop on May 20 with online marketing experts Franco Oggiano and Andrea Stefanelli from the Mutinies agency who will help companies build an effective marketing and communication plan to make the most of their business within the Villasimius - Marine Protected Area destination of Capo Carbonara.
