MEDSEA Foundation is getting ready to launch the eighth edition of “Puliamo la Sella!”, taking place on May 23, 2026. This historic annual event brings together environmental education, science, and a shared love for the sea in the stunning setting of Marina Piccola.
This year’s theme is “REDUCE”: we will actively involve associations, institutions, local organizations, and citizens to spread a concrete message of change.
Throughout the morning, participants will collect waste both on land and at sea, thanks to the collaboration of local sports associations. This hands-on experience offers a valuable opportunity to clearly understand the impact of pollution on marine ecosystems.
There will also be dedicated moments for discussion and reflection on the theme of reducing, focusing on the sustainable practices we can all adopt to help protect the environment.
Details of the 2026 Edition
The eighth edition will be hosted by the Windsurfing Club Cagliari at Marina Piccola, with activities starting at 9:00 AM.
Participants are invited to arrive at 8:45 AM for registration, gadget distribution, and opening announcements.
The event is open to everyone: individuals, families, groups of friends, companies, and of course children, who can join their families in the clean-up activities.
How to Participate
Participation is free of charge, but advance registration through a dedicated online form is required.
This registration process allows organizers to better manage the event and ensure that all participants receive the materials needed for the activities, including gloves, collection bags, and MEDSEA gadgets.
A Celebration for the Sea
“Puliamo la Sella!” is much more than a simple environmental initiative: it is a true celebration of the bond between Cagliari and its sea.
The event helps strengthen community spirit and collective awareness around environmental protection, engaging people of all ages in a shared experience of caring for the local territory.
