Parte ufficialmente il progetto Interreg Mediterranean TUNE UP - Promoting multilevel governance for tuning up biodiversity protection in marine areas
È partito ufficialmente il 1 novembre il progetto interreg MED Tune Up - Promoting multilevel governance for tuning up biodiversity protection in marine areas cofinanziato dal programma Interreg MED 2014 – 2020. Il progetto, della durata di due anni e mezzo (da novembre 2019 a giugno 2022) e con un budget di circa 3.215.000 €, è coordinato dall’Agenzia di sviluppo greca ANATOLIKI - Development agency of eastern Thessaloniki’s local authorities - Center for the development of human resources and the support of local economy (capofila) e prevede la partecipazione attiva di MEDSEA e atri 11 partner provenienti da tutto il bacino mediterraneo.
Il progetto. TUNE UP è un progetto europeo, cofinanziato dal Programma di Cooperazione Transnazionale Interreg Mediterranean 2014 -2020, che ha come obiettivo principale la promozione del coordinamento e di una migliore efficacia della gestione delle Aree Marine Protette nell'area del Mediterraneo attraverso la capitalizzazione di uno strumento di governance multi-stakeholder e multi-level basato sull'esperienza dei contratti di Fiume testati nel progetto Wetnet, INTERREG MED, progetto recentemente concluso. In questo modo, il progetto intende condividere e integrare lo strumento a livello transnazionale, rafforzando sinergie e cooperazione tra le AAMMPP del Mediterraneo, lavorando a livello locale su aree pilota, avviando processi partecipativi in ciascun Paese partecipante (promozione, analisi, partecipazione del pubblico e degli stakeholder, programmazione, firma del Contratto). TUNE UP si impegna a garantire un'adeguata trasferibilità dei risultati del progetto attraverso:
- coinvolgimento di diverse autorità e delle principali parti interessate che operano nel settore delle AAMMPP (ad esempio, agenzie di sviluppo, istituzioni territoriali, autorità di gestione delle AAMMPP, centri di ricerca, fondazioni, reti Med, Università) dalla maggior parte delle zone del Mediterraneo (Mar Egeo, Mar Ionio, Mare Adriatico, Mar Tirreno, Mar di Alboran, Mare delle Baleari e Golfo. del Leone);
- contribuendo alla conservazione/miglioramento della biodiversità e sensibilizzando nel contempo le parti interessate locali e i responsabili politici sul valore ambientale, sociale ed economico degli ecosistemi marini e costieri (obiettivo 3.2 del programma).
Il progetto, della durata di due anni e mezzo (da novembre 2019 a giugno 2022) e con un budget di circa 3.215.000 €, è coordinato dall’Agenzia di sviluppo greca ANATOLIKI - Development agency of eastern Thessaloniki’s local authorities - Center for the development of human resources and the support of local economy (capofila) e prevede la partecipazione attiva di altri 12 partner provenienti da tutto il bacino mediterraneo e 5 partner associati.

Il progetto è articolato in diversi Work Package (WP):
WPO - Preparation costs: definizione dell’idea progettuale e del parternariato.
WP1 - Project management. Racchiude tutte le attività di gestione e organizzazione del progetto compresa la programmazione delle varie azioni, la definizione dei termini di scadenza e dei risultati attesi. Le decisioni sono concordate dal Comitato Direttivo che si riunisce all’inizio del progetto e ogni sei mesi.
WP2 - Project communication. Il WP mira a progettare e attuare una strategia di diffusione e comunicazione che garantisca il trasferimento di informazioni su misura verso i gruppi target e gli stakeholder coinvolti nei processi partecipativi locali, il coordinamento con la Comunità MED e le attività di comunicazione, diffusione e capitalizzazione del progetto orizzontale e l'effettiva diffusione dei risultati verso gli attori/reti/progetti esterni dell'UE.
WP3 – Testing. Il WP mira a testare le strategie e le azioni implementate dal progetto WETNET nell'ambito delle AAMMPP, al fine di migliorare la gestione e l'efficienza delle politiche di conservazione delle AAMMPP target.
WP4 – Transferring. Il WP mira a trasferire le conoscenze e il know-how acquisito in diversi contesti a potenziali stakeholder in aree target (in particolare i dirigenti delle AAMMPP), attraverso lo scambio, il trasferimento e attività di formazione.
WP5 – Capitalizing. Il processo di capitalizzazione è centrale in TUNE UP e mira ad integrare e promuovere lo strumento sperimentato a livello regionale e Mediterraneo attraverso lo scambio, il trasferimento, la formazione e le attività di lobbing.
MEDSEA, insieme al partner associato AMP Penisola del Sinis Isola di Mal di Ventre, partecipa e contribuisce attivamente a tutte le fasi di progetto (WP).
