The European Council and the European Commission celebrate the “Year of Cultural Heritage 2018”.
In this context, from the 22th to the 23rd of September the European Days of Cultural Heritage will be held in Italy. The motto of these days is “The Art of Sharing” and addresses the relationship of citizens to their environment in different kind of ways. Architecture, nature, history and the importance of cultural heritage are the main topics of the festival.
Museums and places across the whole country will open their doors day and night for a special price of 1€.
The festival encourages the participation of people of all ages and discuss the importance of cultural heritage for the society and for the European identity. In doing so, the link between the people and their environment and their cultural heritage will be strengthened. And the close relationship between European Nations, their shared history and the cultural exchange will be highlighted.
In this context and regarding the Coast Day 2018, the MEDSEA Foundation organises a PechaKucha Night in Sardinia. The format is organized under the project MARISTANIS, coordinated by MEDSEA / Mediterranean Sea and Coast Foundation, sponsored by MAVA Foundation, in partnership with AMP Penisola del Sinis - Isola di Mal di Ventre and Flag Pescando.
PechaKucha 20x20 is a simple presentation format to share ideas and projects, in which 20 images are showed for 20 seconds. The way of presentation allows an innovative and communicative way for discussing creative ideas and proposals.
PechaKucha Night will take place in Arborea at the Ex-GIL on Saturday, September 29th at 7.30 pm. More information about the European Day of Cultural Heritage: www.beniculturali.it/GEP2018 More information about the Coast Day: http://www.coastday.org/
